Privacy Policy
🔓 Don't take our word for it — read the code. The data-handling path is open source: github.com/orange-genie/whispernotes-privacy — confirm for yourself that local work never leaves your machine.
1. What we collect
- Account / identity: your chain marker, and — if you pay — billing identifiers from our processor. Card data is handled by Square, not stored by us.
- Usage / metering: counts of feature usage per marker and per day, to run the free tier and credits honestly.
- Content you submit to a task: processed to produce the result; not retained as private data beyond what's needed to deliver it, unless you explicitly publish it.
- Content you publish to the Wildflower Chain: becomes part of the shared, append-only ledger — treat anything you publish as public within the Service.
- Diagnostics: minimal logs needed to operate and secure the Service.
2. Meeting recording & transcription
If you use the meeting-notes feature, audio is captured on your device and transcribed on-device; the audio and transcript stay local unless you choose to share or sync them. Recording conversations may be regulated where you live — you are responsible for obtaining consent from other participants where required.
3. Your API keys & wallets
BYOK keys you connect are used only to call the provider you connected them to. We never take custody of wallets or funds — any on-chain action is money-gated and runs on your own keys.
4. How we use information
To provide, secure, meter, and improve the Service; to process payments; to send service/account notices; and to comply with law. We do not sell personal information. We do not use your private task content to train models. If we ever use content you have published to the Chain to improve or train our own models, we will say so clearly here first.
5. Sharing
We share information only with (a) service providers that run the Service (e.g., Square for payments; AI model, data, and hosting providers) under their terms; (b) as required by law; or (c) at your direction (e.g., content you publish or export). We do not sell your data.
6. Retention
We keep account and metering records while your account is active and as needed for legal, security, and accounting purposes, then delete or de-identify them. Private task content is not retained beyond task delivery.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing (e.g., under CCPA/CPRA in California or GDPR in the EU/UK). Note: the Wildflower Chain is append-only, so entries you publish may not be technically erasable — where deletion isn't possible we will restrict or dissociate the data, and we disclose this before you publish.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No system is perfectly secure. We do not claim any specific certification (such as SOC 2, ISO, or PCI) unless and until we actually hold it.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
10. International
If you use the Service outside the U.S., your information may be processed in the U.S. and other countries.
11. Changes
We'll post updates here and note material changes in the Service.
